Egyptian, Indian, Filipina Caught Running Call Centre
KUWAIT CITY: Three people — an Egyptian, an Indian and a Filipina — were caught running an illegal international call center in Salmiya. The Follow up and Control Committee, jointly formed by the Interior Ministry and Ministry of Communications, raided the trio’s room and seized all the equipment being used for the trade. It was found that all the three were wanted by law in separate cases. Allegedly, they worked as a team and the Egyptian and the Indian’s roles were to find customers while the Filipina conducted the business. During interrogation, they confessed their crime and revealed they had been earning thousands of dinars from their business. They were referred to concerned authorities and securitymen are interrogating their sponsors to find out whether they too were involved in the trade.
