7 Don’ts After Meal

Don’t smoke– Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).  (Obeyed 100%, I’m not a smoker)

Don’t eat fruits immediately – eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal. (Sometimes I can’t resist of eating fruits after meal 🙂  )

Don’t drink tea – Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid.This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest. (I’ll follow and obey)

Don’t loosen your belt – Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked. (I followed 95%)

Don’t bathe – Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach. (I can’t follow when I’m at the beach)

Don’t walk about – People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake. (Okay fine, 100% followed)

Don’t sleep immediately – The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine. (I’m 100% sure of this, I can follow always)

  4. “don’t loosen belt” – is that so? 🙂 nice tips after meal though.. but I think some looks a myth..like the “dont loosen your belt” and “don’t bathe” – Is taking a bath change the blood distribution in our body?.. i’m just wondering? what do you think?..

Lestat_m, I think the “don’t loosen belt” might only be an advice for people who over-eat because if we just think of it in a very simple way, our instestine need space after eating and this works well if we loosen our belt, right? hehe, I just got this info from sui and I don’t have more info if this is a myth or proven fact.
    In the case of taking a bath after meal, based on my experience I never take a bath right after meal because I felt slight pain in my stomach and it made me sweat even on winter days.

    Hi Rieaane…musta na? This post is great! I’ll take note of it…

    As for the fruits and vegetables, since they easily digest, it should be eaten BEFORE any beef, meat, fish, etc…so it goes out first also without getting extinct… 😀
