You might change your contact list after you will read this:

Her handbag which contained her mobile, credit card, purse..Etc….was stolen. 20min later when she called her hubby, telling him what happened. Husband says “I’ve just received your SMS asking about your Pin number. And I’ve replied a little while ago”.

When they rushed down to the bank. Bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The pickpocket had actually used the stolen hand phone to sms “hubby” in the contact list and got hold of the pin number.

Within 20 mins he had withdrawn all the money from the bank account.

Morale of the story:
Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list.
Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, sweetheart, Dad, Mum etc………………and very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked thru SMS, CONFIRM by calling back.

I can’t believed what I read in some news today that the fireworks shown in the opening ceremony of olympic 2008 at Beijing were faked or computer generated.

“What they did not realise was that what they were watching was in fact computer graphics, meticulously created over a period of months and inserted into the coverage electronically at exactly the right moment.”[link]

“London’s Telegraph newspaper reports that some of the fireworks which appeared over Beijing during the television broadcast of the Olympic Opening Ceremony were actually computer generated. But — hold on — it’s not necessarily as bad as you think.

The faked fireworks were actually set-off at the stadium, but because of potential dangers in filming the display live from a helicopter, viewers at home were shown a pre-recorded, computer-generated shot. It sounds dishonest, but I’m not sure it’s such a terrible thing.” [link]

But for me, either it was faked or not, I still loved what I saw, it was really wonderfu! They made an amazing performance. 🙂

Thanks for all the information you gave me in my previous post…(a post that made this blog famous for that day, I got more than 6 thousand visitors for few hours only and became one of the top blogs, lol :D) I spent my weekends watching the Olympic Games especially the opening ceremony, my favorite part. Accordingly, fireworks will highlight the opening ceremony.

“For the first time, the shape of the Olympic Rings will be formed in the sky,” said Wang, adding that Olympic symbols and elements will be a part of fireworks’ designs with an aim to promote Olympic ideals.

Firing skills will feature compressive air launches, chamber pressure launches and computerized ignition technologies, employed for the first time in the display of fireworks, he told the media attending a press conference in Beijing.

To reflect the “Green Olympics” concept, some of the fireworks will use less smoking powder to minimize smoke and dust pollution, Wang said.

The designers intend to highlight the fireworks’ effect both on the ceremony’s stadium and larger areas around the facility so that the Olympic central zone will be an extension of the ceremony owing to the splendid fireworks. [link]
