This is supposed to be my first post after our vacation but I got some problems in retrieving the pics that I took for the Mall of Asia from my camera, my son played with it so I lost some of the photos. We stayed 3 days in Manila before we left Phil. for Kuwait so we spent most of our time in MOA (Mall of Asia), some of my friends told me that one of the most captivating scene at the mall is the sunset but unfortunately I did not able to take any photo of the sunset because there was no sunset image at all during our stay in Manila. We went to the mall every 3:30 pm so that I will be able to witness the famous sunset there but I was really frustrated, the weather wasn’t friendly to us since it was raining every afternoon for the whole 3 days that we were there. Another frustrating part was we did not able to visit all the shops and stores of the mall completely since it was too huge and we already tired of walking. So that’s my story.

Now I want to talk about the mall itself, the MOA or Mall of Asia is the largest shopping mall in the Philippines , it ranks as the third biggest shopping center in the world, in terms of gross leaseable area, ranks behind the Golden Resources Mall in China and the West Edmonton Mall in Canada. It is located in Pasay City, aptly nicknamed “Bay City”. It is built on 19.5 hectares of reclaimed land and has a gross floor area of 386,224 square meters.

Four buildings make up the SM Mall of Asia, the Main Mall, the Entertainment Mall and the North and South Car park buildings, The South Parking building houses the mall’s official SM Department Store, while the mall’s supermarket, the SM Hypermarket is located within the North Parking building.

Olympic-sized ice skating rink. At 61 by 30 meters, the rink is described as the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia.

Food Court that serves both interntional and local cuisines.

I did not able to take photos of the sunset there but I was glad that I witnessed the fireworks at the mall, the only problem is that was my first time to take fireworks photos so expect that I did not able to make it perfectly.

Note: Except for the fireworks, all pictures were taken during late cloudy afternoon before the rain started, that’s why it appears to be little bit dark.

I used to shop our groceries either from Sultan Center  to obtain more points for my rewards card or City Centre  because they sell various South East Asian products that I cannot found in other stores  but since the opening of Carrefour at the Avenues Mall, I found it  more convenient for me to shop our groceries there because aside from their very reasonable prices, their location is very impressive  also.

Now back to the title of this post…I was tagged by Yara to post the last 5 things that I purchased from Sultan Center, it was funny because I can’t rememmber the exact things that I bought the last time I visited the store, I think that was almost one month ago.  I went there because I received a text message from them to claim my reward from the points that I earned.  I was  glad that their customer service was so attentive so it was very easy for me to claim my prize. After I got my reward, I purchased few items and here’s the 5 of them as a reply to Yara’s tag:

Fine scented facial tissue is my favorite, very soft and smooth and I really love its romantic scents, very feminine.

I just love the simple design of this cup and saucer, the size is also perfect for me.

I brought this to our office since my colleagues’ favorite is Nescafe and it doesnt suit my taste, so I purchased Maxwell for me.

Our son loves to eat chocolate especially Kinder, no matter how I warned him not to eat more he hided behind the door just to eat chocolates, so funny because I still caught him even he hides, the remnants of chocolates were visible in his lips and cheeks.

They had especial offer for Energizer batteries when I went there, so I grabbed the oppurtunity to buy for my camera.

I’m glad that the tag required 5 items only or else my list would be mixed up with the things I purchased at the other store. lol 😀 ….Now, I want to tag PEONY.

Speaking of grocery shopping, we always went to either Sultan Center or City Center but taking a glance of Carrefour Hypermarket yesterday made me changed my mind for our next grocery shopping.  The location is the first thing that impressed me so much,  we can park our car safely at the basement without enduring the heat of the sun or the dusty weather in Kuwait.  Second, I did not smell any nasty body odor from the shoppers, lol 😀 Moreover, I also found their products to be much cheaper compared to the other stores here in Kuwait and their fruits and vegetables section is also pleasant.

However, some of the items I was looking for were not there, I asked one the personnel and he told me that they don’t have any of that brand in carrefour, so I still be able to visit my old time favorite stores occasionally.
